Jayni and I spent a week in April at Monterrey watching the spring come in at Big Sur. Big Sur is a sparsely populated region of the Central Coast of California where the Santa Lucia Mountains rise abruptly from the Pacific Ocean. It was my first opportunity to shoot the sea, something I've not done before. Also included a trip to Big Basin Redwood state park to be amazed and awed by the redwoods.
